mirror mirror...complex?

what do u think about people who have blogs that are basically just daily photos of them & their outfits?

granted, they usually have fanTASTic 'fits & cute pics, but... like... what's the real appeal? what, other than styling trends, why do they get so much attention?

i was just looking at one JUST now... she had 254 comments on a post that was literally 5 photos of her in an outfit in different poses, in her living room.

ya... the pants were hella cute, and the ankle boots were trendy-tastic... but.. 254 people "tuned in" to see

"what's this chick gunna wear TODAY? & will she pose to the left, or the right?!?!....... the RIGHT today! amazing. i MUST comment!"

i mean... right?

i dunno. i don't see the point in it. honestly, the taking of & uploading photos to the blog post, is the most time consuming and obnoxious part of all! writing is the fun part, photos are tedious.
o well. it's not for me... but here's one little narcissistic pic, just to prove a point:

merry merry merry*

teehee. to those of you that i texted this morning, i apologize for the repetition.

it's been a luvly holiday so far. i was up until 5:30am wrapping gifts, watching (the traditional) A Christmas Story Marathon on TBS & having xmas insomnia.

you'll shoot your eye out!
I remember, when i was little, we had a one of those (children of the 90's) cassette tapes with a read along book. It was of Rudolph and it was "tradition" to listen to the (15 mins long tape) over & over & over again until we (my sister & i) fell asleep. My sister is the type of person that can conk out in 5 seconds... i can be up all night trying to get some winks.
one year, i thought i saw the red glow of a nose in the sky. i was clearly either overly imaginative, or fucked in the head at a young age... hmm...

finally, sleep, for a few hours... visions of sugar plums, ribbons and misfit toys... just to be woken up by a sleepy mom so i can finish a few last wrappings for em butthead sis piece & pops.

gifts under the tree, packed, wrapped & ready to be torn into, i make sure to change into "cute pjs" & make up (pops, the photog, would be sure to catch me in full on morning monster mode).

we ripped open paper of green, red, white and blue & enjoyed watching each others reactions to the gifts we'd picked out. then.. they were all done.
my favourite thing i gave...

Alfred Hitchcock "The Birds" Tippi Hedren Barbie

[for ma.]

a few goodies to mention:
- express fedora alla ashley simpson-wentz (finally, i'll be fedorable too!)

- 2 pair ultra snuggley pj pants
- super soft pink sweater from vickies
- 2 ducks! (thanks daddy-o!)
- Twilight Scene It! (so AmeCakes, JenBunny, Em Butthead Sis Piece, Cheryl & myself can have an Edward Luv-a-thon Battle Royale)
- a Fleur's snitch necklace from trophies* etsy shop! (yesss!)
- glovies, thigh high socks, boots

&... (drum roll...)

a WEBBIE! (whooooooooop!)

nice.

we also went to see Sherlock Holmes (since the extended fam isn't coming until tomorrow...)
it was aweeeesommmmeeeeeee.

now, we're going to play the Twilight game. after i go smoke to try to get less full from the festive Chinese food we ate.
more later & video updates soon!

have a very *spanky* christmas everyone!

hands up, scream.

personally, i don't care for Rollercoasters. This may make me seem a little like a hypocryte, how can you not like something you don't have much experience in???, ok, i see that. Then, what i'll say is:
"personally i don't care much to KNOW about Rollercoasters."
My relationship with Rollercoasters was... well, a one night stand. (an "ONS" in SpankySpeak)

i was nervous, but a little excited. i def wanted to make sure i had protection, it was a bit of a bumpy ride, i didn't really find my rhythm, it was shorter than i'd expected, (i whacked my head on the "head board") & i left feeling dizzy, nauseous & a bit grossed out. the last thing that i wanted to do, was go stand on line to have another.

(photo credit to taranoel on flikr.com)
Metaphoric Rollercoasters aren't much better, but lately, that's what my life has been. a god-damn, up & down, makes me get the spins just thinking about it, wild ride that has been both exhilarating & down right fuck'n awful. (wah, wah, wah...)

i've been trying to write this post for days... maybe weeks.
i basically wanted to catch everyone up on everything that has been happening, & (of course) other things keep jumping right in the way of being able to actually sit, tune out, and type.

in a true unavailable, Spanky manner, i'll give you a tid bit and make a promise (that i hope to keep) to fill in the holes later.

i'll say one thing first, my head has been fluttering with ideas. i have a notebook next to me, as i type, on my desk at work that has SO many awesome ideas for posts, give aways, surveys, guest spot ideas, etc. & all that i need to do now is figure out a master plan to attack it all.

superfast over view of my rollercoaster life's peaks and pits:
peak-Wedding in GA was awesome. i fell in luv with all the girls from the wedding party & was so happy to spend time with Michelle, it was like we hadn't spent 5 mins apart, let alone basically 13 years!

my pre-wedding roomies, they are so cute. ::tear::
pit- Thinking that i met a nice guy that could be a future contact/friend on the plane, who ended up texting me to see if i'd come visit him in Jacksonville... can't you just be friends/professional contacts with people? annoying
peak- NOT falling at the wedding, like at all!
pit- NOT meeting any hotties... garrr
peak- swimming in the hotel fountain after the rehersal dinner, night before the Wedding
pit- forgetting to hang up my dress, so it flew home in a wet lump in a plastic bag in my suitcase.
peak- getting over my fear of flying (at least i think)
pit- being so fucking tired & hungover that i had no energy to care that i was about to fly.

post GA:
peak- NOT gaining back all the weight that i lost by frequenting Sonic in GA (tots are irresistable!)
pit- not making the weight goal i set myself by my 5 year HS reunion
peak- snagging myself a gorg-tastic duck at the bar (whom i know from elementary school through now - not a random) and spending the night with him - the night before thanksgiving. waking up next to him was DEF something to be thankful for!!! (i think i'm still sweating from that one. nice)
pit- having my sister pick me up at his dads apartment at 9:30am & seeing that i look like a TOTAL lagoon creature... NOT cute.
peak- NOT getting reamed out by ma & pa when i strolled in at 10am on Thanksgiving morning in my outfit from the night before.
pit- realizing that they had more on their mind, when they sat me & the sis-piece down at 10am on Thanksgiving morning (pre-eggs and bacon breakfast) to tell us that they are splitting up after 26(?) years of marriage... awesome.

there's been a lot more, including
  • a missing cat, a found cat, pulling the cat out of the CHIMNEY & sneezing for days with soot in my eyes & nose...
  • a make out session with my ex boyfriend (surprisingly NOT weird. haha)
  • partying with friends from way WAY back, people i've never really spoken to, and people who never really cared to talk to me until now.
  • 5 year high school reunion (which led to the aforementioned two points)
  • Dropped out of school (i know, this could be it's own post blog, but this is supposed to be a quick update...)
  • Went to White Plains w/ JenBunny, Cheryl & (local) Michelle (& some boys) & partied at the same bar as on h.ween. found out the h.ween duck's phone number. texted him, he didn't answer. over it.
    • plus side, i borrowed a dress from C & (if i do say so) i looked awesome!

(mb - our buddy that met us there)
WELL: that's most of it. i know that there's a lot more, but i'm getting sick of writing this post!!! here are some photos of me, in all my glory, at the Wedding:
i was going to upload some, but now i'm a Picnik snob, so i need boarders, wordies & goodie on my photos. I just decided to Upgrade, so it's taking forever. I'll be sure to do them ASAP (i swear!!!)
This was the only one i got done before i opted to upgrade (finally)

do u luvs?

thank you all for sticking with me thru my peaks & pits. i luvs u all, more than you can know & even though i'm sad to have to have dropped out of school, i'll have a lot more time to dedicate to my true luv... my bloggie.
There are a lot of fun things on the way, so please don't give up on me!!! i've got one HELL of a give away coming up, more from *The Duck Pond* & some advice like cheep* from a real life chick!

trick or treat, bitches!

i hope that everyone had a treat-tastic halloweeeeen!
my night started off a bit rocky, but after 2 hours of painting my face, teasing my hair & frosting myself in bling, i was transformed.

Spanky became Daisy

unfortunately, no one knew who the hell i was...

what do people WATCH if they don't watch VH1 reality tv!?! Who DOESN'T watch Daisy of Love?! ...as i type i'm watching the wonderful television program, Tool Academy 2!

i think i looked awesome, just say'n...

me as Daisy last weekend at Mattman's birthday party... he was Frankenberry!

So, i threw on my Uggs & climbed in my cute new car & drove my ass 50 mins to JenBunny's new appartment. After a few final touch ups, we were off to White Plains, NY to park in a garage, walk to the main road & take our place in the very loooong line of half sober, half wasted clowns, french maids, mario brothers, Giants players & slutty lady bugs...

JenBunny was a hot mama in her "Free Rides" Taxi driver costume, Cheryl rocked it out as a super hot Baseball Player & Michelle went as a sexy kitty with stick on whiskers that kept falling off when she smiled. (I LOLed at her when she, out of no where, exclaimed that she "hates dumb cats"! haha)

JenBunny as Taxi Driver

Cheryl as Baseball Player

OK, this wasn't the costume that Michelle wore, she had black leggings & a black tube top, but this is just so hot! i want it!

Mario, Luigi, slutty Girl Scouts and a random dude in a black & white camo shirt were behind us. The Girl Scouts were passing out Philanthropy by grinding up against Gorrila's, basketball players and singing "Go Banana, Go Go Banana" (with a clear slip into Holla Back Girl a few times... "b-a-n-a-n-a-s!") to a Giant Banana guy, who, needless to say, luvd the attention.

i couldn't find a "Go Banana" clip... but i did find this funny banana video!

The line started to get old REAL fast, especially when, after an hour & a half, it started drizzling... (fml)...

we watched the Costume Contest throught the window while we waited. We saw the Mystery Inc. gang, complete with Scooby (came in 5th place) - (which made me jeal bc i've ALWAYS wanted to do that), the Jolly Green Giant (came in 3rd), a guy in a Hooters outfit, Plaxico Burress with a GSW to the leg (hahah, didn't place, but i got a good LOL out of it), and a few Lady Gaga's, one of which was male.  -i didn't get to enter... :o(

So, we FINALLY got into the bar & i quickly downed 2 back to back shots of tequlia, straight up, no training wheels for THIS lush, and then got my groove on, brewski in hand.

it was fun for a while, once the 3rd shot of tequlia hit my system, but i was not finding any boys to mac on... :o(
my hopeful goals for the night (find a Brett Michaels for my Daisy, or an Edward Cullen to make out with) weren't going very well.

There was a bunch of guys next to us dressed as Street Fighters, characters from a video game that i had no clue about. They enjoyed explaining that it's an awesome game somewhat like Mortal Kombat. They were kool, but i was still without a h.ween squeeze.

"...another Coors Light please"

a few more jams, a few photo opps (on cameras that were not mine, so i don't have them to load yet), an Edward Scissorhands, Chris Angel and a Preist later, i turned around to see a TOTAL QT!

could this be my halloween Duck? hmm...

He was another Street Fighter, but to my happy surprise, looked more like Flex than Bret Michaels. (score!)

He was supposed to be Guile, from Street Fighter, which... means... nothing to me... but he was hot. haha

So, we chatted for a bit, he didn't guess who i was supposed to be (pout) but i forgave him. After a while of chill'n (i think dancing?) drinking and having a competition to see who could get the bartenders attention first (i won. duh.) he was gracious enough to accompany me out to the back porch for a ciggarette & some quieter surroundings.

& after a little while... Daisy & her Street Fighting Flex did a little of this...

umm... Quuaaaaaaaaccck!!!
we hung out the rest of the night; MO'n, LOL'n & Luv'n H.ween.

then, my GD iPhone died before i could snag the digits (doh!) but i gave him mine... so, we'll see what happens... hopefully there will be something there!
